The Healing Curve

Dr. Gary Motykie formed The Healing Curve in 2008 as a non-profit initiative to support women who have emerged successfully from their battle with breast cancer, but are still struggling with scars and loss of breast tissue following a mastectomy. The inspiration for this nonprofit came after Dr. Motykie was flooded with requests from patients following his breast reconstruction features on E! Entertainment’s hit show Dr. 90210.

The Healing Curve is involved with providing financial support and other forms of assistance for the surgical treatment of physical deformities that a patient may have acquired due to cancer, injury, previous failed surgeries and/or birth defects. Dr. Motykie says, “I started the Healing Curve to help women who feel they have lost their bodies, their femininity, and their self-esteem due to their battle with breast cancer. These women have already been through so much with cancer itself; they deserve the best possible breast reconstruction that plastic surgery can offer.”
